Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist

I’m Makayla Ferdinand, the owner and artist behind Beauty by Makayla. As a Vancouver hair and makeup artist, I specialize in elevated, timeless beauty across British Columbia.

My approach is intentional and refined: soft, polished glam and effortless hair that enhances your natural features with a modern, luxurious touch. Whether for your wedding day or a milestone celebration, my priority is creating a calm, high-end experience from the moment I arrive. Professionally trained, my background spans bridal, editorial, and film alongside work with top brands like Charlotte Tilbury and The Ordinary. With deep skincare expertise and precise technique, I craft tailored looks designed to last.

Couldn’t recommend her enough

“Makayla did my wedding hair, as well as my family’s, and we absolutely loved her! She took such great care of us and was so patient during the trial, trying different looks until we found the perfect one. She made the whole experience fun, stress-free, and special. Couldn’t recommend her enough!!! thank you, Makayla!”

Absolutely adored Makayla

“Not only is she so sweet and attentive but her makeup for me and my sisters prom was amazing. Amazing soft glam that stays on ALL NIGHT.”

– Adriana

she truly brought my vision to life.

“I’m so happy I had Makayla as my hair and makeup artist for my wedding day! She was professional, calm, and so easy to talk to. As someone who knows little to nothing about hair and makeup, I really appreciated how she listened to my ideas and truly brought my vision to life.”
